In this privacy and cookie statement, (i) “we” means: InsightData BV, with registered office in St. -Lutgardisstraat 13, 3560 Lummen and with company number 0700.652.477, info [at] insightdata.be and derivatives and (ii) 'you': any natural person who uses our website and/or online platform.

1. Personal data protection

Personal Data: all information about an identified or identifiable natural person; identifiable is considered a natural person who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more elements that characterize that natural person's physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

We attach great importance to respecting and protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal data. This privacy and cookie statement aims to inform you about the modalities related to the use of personal data and about the protection rules in place to protect the confidentiality of this personal data.

We are committed to using personal data discreetly and protecting its confidential and private nature. All this in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Act of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy with regard to the processing of personal data (as amended) (hereinafter “the Act of 8 December 1992”) and the other relevant current legal regulations. We have taken legal and technical precautions to the best of our ability to prevent unauthorised access to and use of your personal data. Where it is impossible to fully guarantee security, we will provide appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data.

2. What personal data is collected, why and for what purposes?

Processing: any operation or set of operations on personal data or sets of personal data, whether or not carried out by automated processes, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storing, updating or changing, retrieving, consulting, using, providing by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, deletion or destruction.

“Confidential processing” means that we process personal data confidentially in accordance with the legal regulations applicable in Belgium, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Act of 8 December 1992.

You are free to visit our website and collect the necessary information about our services without providing us with any personal data.

We can do the following personal data (e.g. name, first name, national register number, telephone number, address, email address, account number, image, family composition, education, position, etc.) of the following stakeholders (e.g.: customers, customer contacts, etc.) processing based on the following legal grounds (consent of the person concerned, necessity for the execution of the agreement, legal obligation, protection of vital interests, task in the public interest or legitimate interest) for next purposes (e.g. to comply with legal obligations (customer management, etc.), to be able to execute the agreement, to provide the person concerned with informative news about the company, to improve the quality of services or information, etc.

By providing personal data, the data subject gives explicit permission to process that data for the purposes mentioned above. The data subject has the right to withdraw the consent given, insofar as the processing is based solely on the data subject's consent.

Under no circumstances will the personal data of the person concerned be transferred to third parties, either for informational or commercial purposes.

We do not store personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided or required by law. The storage period of personal data with us is 1 year. At the end of this period, the personal data will be automatically deleted from the system. The personal data processed for personnel management will be kept for the period necessary to comply with legal requirements (including accounting and social legislation). If we wish to continue to use the personal data after the retention period has expired, we will ask for permission again.

3. Your rights

In accordance with applicable regulations, upon simple request, you have a legal right to free access to your personal data in order to supplement, correct, change, delete or transfer it. You also have the right, upon simple request, to object free of charge to the processing of your personal data for purposes such as direct marketing.

More specifically, the data subject has the following rights in accordance with applicable regulations and under the applicable conditions:

  • Right of access: the person concerned always has the option to request access to his personal data (including processing purposes, categories of personal data, expected storage period).
  • Right to rectification: the person concerned always has the option to have their personal data corrected or supplemented.
  • Right to erase data: the person concerned has the option, under certain conditions, to request the deletion of their personal data upon simple free request.
  • Right to restrict processing: the data subject has the option, under certain conditions, to request a restriction of the processing of their personal data in the future.
  • Right to object: the data subject has the option, under certain conditions, to object to the processing of their personal data for direct marketing purposes, among other things.
  • Right to portability: the data subject has the option to obtain his personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable form and to transfer it to third parties.
