Sales Development Representative

Sales Development Representative

You are comfortable on the phone, enjoy making new connections, and know how to spark curiosity. At InsightData, we are looking for a commercial go-getter to create new sales opportunities through cold calling. You open the door and lay the foundation for a successful sales conversation.

What do we do?

InsightData helps SMEs make better decisions using their data. Our Business Intelligence apps provide insights into areas such as revenue, margins, cash flow, and operational performance, reducing the need for manual reporting and Excel work. We also develop AI agents that actively highlight relevant anomalies and opportunities.

You don't start a conversation about technology, but about what a business owner wants to better understand or track.

Your role

  • Cold calling. You make targeted calls to SMEs, reaching out to business owners, financial managers, and sales leads. You clearly explain why a conversation with InsightData could be relevant to them.
  • Uncovering interests and needs. You ask targeted questions about their reporting, challenges, and missing insights. You listen, probe further, and determine if there is a good fit.
  • Scheduling qualified appointments. You set up meetings for our Account Executives and provide the necessary context: who you spoke with, what is going on, and why the prospect wants to continue the conversation.
  • Consistent follow-up. You schedule callbacks, follow up on previous contacts, and keep information and next steps up to date in Teamleader. Email and LinkedIn support your phone-based approach. You work with AI on a daily basis.

You don't need to give demos or close deals. You ensure that the right conversations take place.

Your profile

You enjoy calling and aren't afraid to take the initiative. Rejection is part of the job, but you always look critically at how you can improve your conversations.

Experience with cold calling, inside sales, or B2B sales is a plus. Your commercial mindset, eagerness to learn, and perseverance are more important than your degree.

You communicate fluently in Dutch, are a good listener, and can convey a message concisely and clearly. You have an interest in how SMEs operate and how data and AI can help them. No technical background is required.

You work in a structured way, keep your commitments, and feel at home in a small team with direct lines of communication.

What you'll find with us

A commercial role where you visibly contribute to our growth. You will receive product training, practical conversation guides, and coaching, and you will work closely with your immediate colleagues and our Account Executives.

We don't just look at how many calls you make, but primarily at relevant conversations, high-quality appointments, and diligent follow-up. You will have the space to refine your approach and further develop your commercial skills.

At InsightData, everyone counts. We are a small team with a very flat structure: you can go directly to anyone, and your ideas are welcome, even if you have just started. We share knowledge, help each other, and give you the space to learn, try things out, and grow.

You are given the trust and freedom to take ownership of your job. This includes taking initiative, keeping your commitments, and speaking up when something gets stuck. You take responsibility, but you are not on your own.We are straightforward and work together to find practical solutions that truly help our customers.

Flexibility works both ways for us. We take your needs into account and expect you to be flexible when the work or the team requires it. We also consciously make time for each other outside of daily work: every month, we organize a team event to do something together and get to know each other in a different way.
